simple

Black blouse - Charity shop, £1.50
Jeans - Primark, hand me downs
Boots - Primark, £20

Threw this outfit together in 3 minutes as I'm off to the cinema and in a mega rush. I really love the simplicity of the baggy blouse and super tight jeans. Wearing heeled boots makes it a bit more grown up and smarter and I've added a pop of colour with a Calvin Klein lipstick in a purple shade called Fusion.

mom jeans

Mom jeans - Charity shop, £2
Crop top - River Island, £7 (sale)

I used to buy high waisted jeans from charity shops ALL the time and when sorting out my clothes a few weeks I found about 10 pairs which I never ever wear and some which I had tried to DIY cut and fray. This pair I bought a week or so back because they actually looked like they would fit me properly, unlike previous pairs I have bought. They fit around my waist pretty well and are tapered nicely which I really like. And they are soo similar to the Topshop 'Mom' jeans. I'm wearing them this evening with my new favourite crop top. I'm off to see my A2 Art work exhibited in the school canteen which is pretty cool!

cya sixth form

Dress - Zara, £49.99
Shoes - Ebay, £27.99

My Sixth Form Leaver's Ball is tomorrow night and I'm super excited! I bought this dress on a whim as I wanted to see how the style look and the pattern looked. It's brighter than the photo on the Zara website and of a lycra/stretchy material (it looked like a stiff fabric) but I absolutely love it! I wanted a smart, sophisticated dress which wasn't short and because I love midi bodycon's, I thought this would be perfect. I stupidly bought the ginormous heels before I bought a dress but they match perfectly. With them on, I have around 6ft, ahhhh.

bronzed make up

Tonight I've been practicing my make up for my Leaver's Ball this Friday. I've been fake tanning all week so I'm gonna go for a bronzed, golden look. It's hard to tell from my camera but I've got a golden lid using an MUA palette. I have used an all over face glow over my foundation, along with blusher and a highlighter. On the day, I'm going to be using Eylure's semi-permanent individual lashes to brighten my eyes too

monchrome & makeup

Crop top - River Island, £7 (sale)
Skirt - Internacionale, £7

I love this monochrome crop top I picked up the other day which goes perfectly with this black skater skirt which I bought on Friday after losing my other one. I think this will be the outfit I wear to my Leaver's Ball after party this Friday

£1 jumpsuit

Jumpsuit - Charity shop, £1

I <3 this jumpsuit I managed to find my favourite charity shop on Friday. It's navy with little white polka dots all over it and originally from Tesco. It's a little small, but its comfortable to wear. It'd go perfect with white converse and a leather jacket for a casual look or steel capped heels and a peach blazer for a more dressy outfit.

free for summer

Dress - Charity shop, £1
Leather jacket - Charity shop, £4
Bag - H&M, £29.99
Shoes - Primark, £10

Finally finished exams, so summer has began!
I picked up this dress from a charity shop for a £1(originally from H&M) which is a bargain and it's in perfect condition. It's grey and white pinstripe and is perfect for summer. The weather is pretty humid today so I'm braving the no tights!
I'm off shopping later for an after party dress and new makeup even though I have hardly any money :(

neon vs tan

Neon dress - Tesco, £5 (sale)
White brogues - Topshop, £5 (sale)

I bought these white brogues from Topshop on a whim months and months ago. It was just as white shoes were coming into fashion so I thought at £5, it didn't really matter if I never wore them. They were reduced from £62 which is amazing but they are actually a bit too small for me. I'm still not sure if I will ever wear them as they aren't as masculine as I thought they were and I much prefer wearing chunky shoes to dainty ones.
I bought this neon orangey/pink dress yesterday simply because it was bright and a skater dress which I love. I tried it on and instantly fell in love with it - mainly because it makes what's left of my tan from Tenerife look darker! I can tell that I'll be wearing it a lot over the next few months
I threw on this dress with a leather jacket to go to the shop for revision food.

stained glass

Trousers - Matalan, £7 (sale)
Top - Urban Outfitters, friends
Wedges - Charity shop, £2

I'm blogging with my rollers in because I am in such a rush! I'm wearing my lovely stained glass trousers which I bought at a bargain price of £7 at the end of last year. I've teamed it with this cute top which is half chiffon and half jersey which has a very cool hemline and flows nicely. I am also wearing my black wedges which I haven't actually worn yet even though I've had them months and months! Off to a family meal so I thought this would be a smart, but not too dressy outfit to wear

DIY dress

Dress - Charity shop, £4 (DIY)

One of my first blogposts was of this dress. I bought it as a midi dress and wore it a few times, and planned to cut it shorter in the future. 10 minutes ago I was trying to find something to wear and immediately decided to cut this dress. I quickly cut half the bottom fabric off, tried it on, straighten the hem a bit and now I'm sitting it in, waiting to leave for my next exam.
I love the embroidery at the front which is green, cream and orange as it adds a nice bit of colour of the otherwise boring black. I'm going to team it with my white converse for a chilled out vibe.
I've been revising in the sun, so my hair has naturally dried super curly, eeek

Thursday 6 June 2013

1 dress, 3 shoes

Dress - Internacionale, £16
Elephant necklace - Primark, £2
Studded pumps - Primark, £10
Turquoise flatforms - M&S, £29ish
Turquoise and cream bracelet - Bombay duck, £13
Black wedges - Charity shop, £2 (but brand new H&M)
Scarf - H&M, £4 (sale)

I really love this grey speckled dress which can be dress up or down. I was just experimenting with different shoes yesterday so thought I'd take a picture to showcase. My favourite are the black wedges which give a rock chick edge to the outfit, but paired with the floral scarf, it's kept girly.

side split

 Dress - H&M, £7.99
Necklace - H&M, friends

I've been wanting a maxi dress for a while now but never found one which I thought was worth the money. I found this is my local H&M last week and instantly had to get it because of the price. I wasn't sure on the side split at first, but after trying it on I realised that it's not that big. I think I might wear this to a friends birthday at the weekend, teaming it with my white Converse.

I'm blogging from my dining room table, surrounded by English lit and Geography notes, wondering whether I'm actually going to be able to get the grades for uni. I can't wait for the end of the week when these two exams are over!
